Professional Background
Dr. Mancillas’ current teaching and research focuses on counseling skill development and school counselor training and supervision, especially pertaining to mental health intervention in schools. She has also authored a number of works on family dynamics and the development of only children. As a clinical psychologist and former school counselor, she has implemented programs and provided counseling services to students in K-12 schools, community colleges, and university settings.
