Professional Background

Dr. Angela Macias has been teaching at the college level for 10 years, both in undergraduate and teacher preparation programs. Prior to that, she was a public school teacher for 10 years in San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. She also spent several years as a professional development trainer for schools across the country. Her research involves student engagement, particularly Latino students, and she works often with foster youth.
