Professional Background
Dr. Hoopes previously worked in retail management, especially small business. He was involved with the first four store openings of the popular market Whole Foods. He also conducts empirical research into science-based startups, looking at the impediments to developing new products based on cutting-edge science. He previously taught at Purdue University, the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School, Southern Methodist University, and University of Kansas.
