Professional Background

Benito Gómez Madrid teaches courses in Spanish literature, culture, writing, and the humanities. He has published some 30 articles and four books: The Experience Influenced from the New Periphery: The case of Post-Imperial Spanish Literature; The Search of Voice in the Literature of Hispanic Women at the End of the 20th Century; The Phenomenon of Writing as Therapy in Latin American Writing, and Reality and Evasion in Don Quixote. He has organized nine international symposia on Hispanic literature at CSUDH. He is the editor in Chief of Alba de América, an international academic journal online. His current research is about key films in Spanish History.
