Professional Background

Fornelli’s doctorate dissertation study in organizational leadership focused on the use of social media in nonprofit organizations, which have published in both a business and academic journals. He owns the production company Blatant Image Group, specializing in live event production and marketing promotions. Fornelli’s most recent work was a documentary on the Manzanar Internment Camp, “And Then They Came For Us,” produced in conjunction with CSUDH’s remembrance of the 75th Anniversary of Executive Order 9055, which led to the internment of Japanese-Americans during World War II.

Fornelli began his professional career in the music industry, promoting then up-and-coming bands, such as Mötley Crüe, Berlin, and Great White for such companies as Enigma Records, Wherehouse Entertainment, and the Musicland Group, before transitioning to film and video production, working for companies such as Cannon Films, Cineplex Odeon, Simmons Cable-TV, and Cox Communications.
