Professional Background
Dr. deVoogd has written 25 scholarly publications in the areas of early literacy, critical literacy, and the use of technology in teacher education. He previously served as professor at the Kremen School of Education and Human Development at California State University, Fresno, and as chair of the Department of Literacy, Early, Bilingual and Special Education. DeVoogd has more than 15 years of experience in elementary education and seven years as a bilingual teacher.
