Much of Dr. Britto’s research focuses on the forces that shape crime-related public perceptions, with an emphasis on the role of racialized and gendered media representations. In addition to media research, she has also published several articles on gender inequality and violent crime and co-authored the book In the Shadow of Death: Restorative Justice and Death Row Families.
